The Government of the Republic of Macedonia is continuously working on adopting new temporary measures for protection and prevention against the Corona virus COVID-19.
In that direction, additional restrictions on the movement of citizens on the territory of the entire country were adopted, during working days and weekends, valid from Wednesday, April 8, 2020, from 16:00.
At the proposal of the Commission for Infectious Diseases within the Ministry of Health and the General Crisis Headquarters, the Government of the Republic of Macedonia adopted an supplement to the Decision for movement restriction of citizens throughout the country, I.e. extending the curfew on the entire territory of Northern Macedonia.
The movement of all citizens on the entire Macedonian territory is prohibited, every working day, from Monday to Friday, from 16:00 to 05:00 the next day.
Additionally, For persons over 67 years of age, the movement is prohibited during all working days, from Monday to Friday, except in the period from 10:00 to 12:00.
For young people up to 18 years of age, the movement is prohibited during all working days, from Monday to Friday, except in the period from 13:00 to 15:00.
During the weekend, the movement of all citizens from Friday at 16:00 to 05:00 on Monday is prohibited.
According to the Decision, the movement of citizens in public places and public areas in groups larger than two people is prohibited, and this does not include persons under 14 years of age, if they are children of a parent who is part of a group of two.
The new restrictions enter into force on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 4 p.m.
For agricultural activities, movement within the territory (area) of the villages is allowed, exclusively for work needs.
Pharmacies will work without restrictions, and the Ministry of Health will develop a plan for undisturbed operation of health facilities.
Exceptions to the movement restriction apply to the police, the army, health workers and to markets and restaurants that deliver products, whereby they will carry out their engagements undisturbed.
