The Law on treatment of illegally constructed buildings is in a parliamentary procedure by an abbreviated procedure

p3

The draft law on treatment of illegally constructed buildings is in a parliamentary procedure by an abbreviated procedure.
In the legal notice it is stated that the proposed laws will provide a treatment of illegally constructed buildings that have been built until 1 October 2019.
“The treatment of illegally constructed buildings in Republic of North Macedonia is prescribed in the Law on treatment of illegally constructed buildings that shall be applied until 2021, and subject of the same are the illegal buildings constructed until 3 March 2011. With this law the deadline for submitting an application with the neccesary documentation was prolonged a couple of times, however considering that a large portion of the applicants have not submitted the neccesary documentation within the legally determined deadlines, some of the buildings still remained without a legal status.
Moreover, the association of the local self-government units pointed out that in most of the local self-government units, illegally constructed buildings that were built after 3 March 2011 were recorded and the buildings are not subject to the current law and the same shall be removed by causing additional administrative procedures and costs to the local self-government units“, is stated in the explanation of the Draft-law.
